Make your mind an ever-expanding box

Woman ReadingWe all have a past – family, education, friends.  Our Minds are made of these things.  Expand on these things – grow on these things, open the gate and grow as YOU age.
Feed YOUR mind with the best things to make it work at being functioning until the end.  My father always told me that we learn until the day we die.
I believed it when he told me and I believe it now.  Love learning, it is important to SELF.
Do not let anything or anyone limit SELF.  When SELF is functioning at a high level then everything else will be as it should be, and in the best possible way.

Sometime at eve when the tide is low,

    I shall slip my mooring and sail away,

With no response to the friendly hail

    Of kindred craft in the busy bay

In the silent hush of the twilight pale

    When the night stoops down to embrace the day

And the voices call o’er the waters flow….

    Sometime at evening when the tide is low

I shall slip moorings and sail away

Through the purple shadows that darkly trail 

    O’er the ebbing tide of the unknown sea

I shall fade me away, with a dip of a sail

    And ripple of waters to tell the tale

Of a lonely voyager sailing away

    To Mystic Isles where at anchor lay

The crafts of those who have sailed before

    O’er the Unknown Sea to the Unknown Shore

A few who have watched me sail away

    Will miss my craft from the busy bay,

Some friendly barks that were anchored near

    Some loving hearts that my soul held dear

In the silent sorrow shall drop a tear

    But I shall have peacefully furled my sail

In moorings sheltered from storm or gale

    And greeted friends who have sailed before

O’er the Unknown Sea to the Well Known Shore

Forgive

SELF has to forgive ALL

Forgive anyone who has been difficult to you over the years.  FOR EVERYTHING

Forgiving Self and everyone is STRESS Releasing and will help your overall mind, body and spirit function to their highest levels

and if you have another name for the above:  use it.

You have only one mind, but it possesses two distinctive characteristics. They have different attributes and power.

Like navigator Answers to all your problems

hold ideas here get reactions according to nature

Belief is a thought in our mind. THINK POSITIVE AND ALWAYS and EVERYDAY

Say “I can do all things through the power of my sub-conscious mind”

We are what we think!!

Prayer  should be another one of the first things you do in the morning and continuing all day “Thank You” “Thank You” all day.  Your bodies immune system will feel those positive thoughts and those little positive sayings you say all day long.

Go to Ho’oponopono and do this ancient Hawaiian practice of reconciliation and forgiveness.  I do it all the time and I love it.  I have done it when I travel in the car and airplane in bad weather.  I do it with my children’s name.  I do it with everyone.

Go to Meditation and see how that would work for you.

What type of personality are YOU?

There are sixteen different personality types that Isabel Briggs Myers came up with her mother, Katherine Briggs who developed this using Carl Jung’s text, Psychological Types.  Go onto the internet and find your personality type.  Along with your blood type, your time and date of birth, your should be able to develop a meaningful life, and add in as “happy as you want to be”.

Blood type is one of the things YOU need to know for a WHOLE YOU healthy life span

There are characteristics that go with each individual blood type.

Blood Type 0 positive:

I am a type 0 blood and these are my characteristics;  some of the main points and will go into more detail later;

We are predisposed to certain illnesses-hypothyroidism; which I have had since I was about 40; I wish I would have taken iodine starting in my 20’s but I did not.  I would start iodine as early as possible – it has helped with my edema(one of the things that happens sometimes with hypothyroidism).  Bladder Wrack is a good supplement-a seaweed and may help in weight control.  Our genetics dictates that we are strong,lean,productive, long-lived and optimistic.

I will go over some of the blood tests you may want your Doctor to take when you go in for annuals or anytime.  I have TSH, Free T 3&4, Vitamin D, and I am going to have a series of more blood test like Iron, B vitamins and etc.  Have your doctor give you a copy of YOUR blood test report and go over the report with your Doctor so you understand what your body may need.

Acknowledge to SELF that you want your life to meaningful.  This does happen one day at a time.  Write down what you want your life to look like when you reach certain ages.  Ask yourself, if you are 70 or 80, what do you want to look back and see that your life had been as meaningful as you wanted it to be.

My story about my sister; 2 weeks before she died from leukemia she called and told me the doctor gave her 2 weeks to live.  She said “I regret not doing more with my life, I know could have”.   It was the saddest thing in my life because I work everyday so when I cross over the Rainbow Bridge I will know I will have tried to make my time here count towards good and meaningful.

Viktor Frankl did not believe man was seeking pleasure but was seeking a deep sense of meaning.  He believed that when a person could not find a deep sense of meaning, then he distracted themselves with pleasure(Sigmund Freud)

Viktor Frankl came up with how we each could experience a meaningful life:

1.  Have a project you are working on that requires your unique skills and abilities.  And preferable a project that helps others.

2.  Share with loving relationships

3.  Find redemptive perspective on your challenges.

How do you want to look back on your life.  What do you want to leave to this family and friends to remember you.  You want as few regrets as possible.  You do not want to say:  I should have, could have, would have.  You can do all those things.  Start today.  No one said it was going to be easy.  You have to EMPOWER yourself.  You have to ENCOURAGE yourself.  On a daily basis.

Fill the Body with healthy and nutritious foods

Your Body is a temple – treat it like one

Make sure your Body is getting the nutrients that is required to keep it running like a well-tuned car

Iodine is one of the nutrients that I never knew were so important until the past several years, but in all the books that I read from Doctors they point out how important Iodine is, and especially for people like myself who are hypothyroidism.

We are all individuals and our Bodies are all different:  our environment, our genetics, our lifestyles are all different and we need to take all these into consideration when looking for the right ratio and kind of nutrients to make our bodies run as well as possible for our entire life so we can have this HEALTHY LIFE SPAN.

YOUR body is not going to function at the high level it should if YOUR body is not fed the right foods and nutrients.

The soil of the earth is not like it was 50 years ago so your vegetables and fruit are not the high quality they use to be.  For YOUR body – grow what vegetables and fruit you can in you  yard or apartment.  Buy at local farmer’s market if you are not able to grow your own.

A Prayer for Today

This is the beginning of a new day.  God has given me this day to use as I will.  I can waste it or use it for good but what I do today is important, because I am exchanging a day of my life for it.  When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever, leaving in its place something I have traded for it.  I want it to be gain and not loss, good and not evil, success and not failure, in order that I shall not regret the price that I have paid for it.

 

YOUR NEXT TWELVE HOURS

JUST FOR TODAY     I will try to live through this day only, and not tackle my whole life’s problems at once.

JUST FOR TODAY     I will be happy.  I will assume to be true what Abraham Lincoln said, “My folks were as happy as they      made up their minds to be.”

JUST FOR TODAY     I will try to strengthen my mind, I will study and I will learn something useful.  I will read something that requires effort, thought, and concentration.

JUST FOR TODAY     I will adjust my self to what is and not try to adjust everything for my own desires.

JUST FOR TODAY     I will exercise my soul in three ways:  I will do somebody a good turn and not get found out; I will do at least two things I do not want to do, just for exercise;  I will not show anyone that my feelings are hurt, they may be hurt but today I will not show it.

JUST FOR TODAY     I will be agreeable.  I will look as well as I can, dress becomingly, talk low, act courteously, criticize not one bit, not find fault with anything and not try to improve or regulate anybody but myself.

JUST FOR TODAY     I will have a program, I may not follow it exactly but I will have it.

JUST FOR TODAY     I will save myself from two pests:  hurry and indecision.

JUST FOR TODAY     I will have a quiet half hour all by myself.  During this half hour I will try to get a better perspective on my life.

JUST FOR TODAY     I will be unafraid.  Especially I will not be afraid to enjoy what is beautiful and to believe that as I give to the world so the world will give back to me.

JUST FOR TODAY     I will recognize God as my Heavenly Father and that I am his child and to think, act and feel accordingly.  This is the day which the Lord hath made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.

JUST FOR TODAY      I will pray at noon for the world’s greatest need,  “Grant peace, O God, in our time, Amen.

JUST FOR TODAY     I will give back to God this day before going to sleep in this covering prayer:

 

O Lord, thou knows how I live;

All I have done amiss forgive;

All of good I have tried to do:

Strengthen, bless and carry through;

All I love in safety keep,

While in thee, I fall asleep.
