There will be several topics in today’s blog:
Like I have said over and over again here in these blogs is that
I do prevention against disease; against cancer, diabetes,
arthritis, and any other disease, any autoimmune disease is
really any disease plus inflammations of anything in the body.
My goal is to never have any of the above. I had already
become hypothyroid in the 1980s and have been determined not
to have anything else that would cause me any disease. So far,
I have not had any other disease besides that which being
Hypothyroid is enough because one is more susceptible to
cancer, diabetes, and heart disease being hypothyroid so I take
care nutritionally of my body.
Since each of us is unique in body structure with genes and
DNA plus a mired of other factors you need to feed your body
nutrition that will keep you from disease and this website gives
YOU the tools to know your body, mind, and spirit to keep SELF
Healthy while you age.
You need to know how much of each you body needs but
be sure you are putting into your body the best quality you can
afford anything because You are in control of YOUR body and
whether it gets any disease or not.
I believe I would not have gotten hypothyroidism if I had known that
Iodine was the one thing my thyroid runs on and my body was
running out of Iodine.
Below is a list for nutrition that YOUR body needs:
When you eat foods that contain protein, they are broken down in the body into amino acids. These amino acids are used to build and repair any muscle tissue. This is great for those who are physically active or exercise regularly. You are able to recover at a faster rate than if you do not consume protein. Every tissue in your body is made up of protein and you need to consume enough through your diet to replenish it. Protein is also needed to help your immune and nervous system.
Gives you energy to function throughout your day. Good carbs
Can be from vegetables and fruits. When carbs are ingested your pancreas releases a hormone called insulin. Insulin helps the carbs to be stored in the muscles or as fat. Stored carbs in the body are also known as glycogen. They are an energy supply and help to achieve better fat loss but help in overall physique.
Without fats, you will not be able to survive. They keep your body warm during cold weather. Fats lubricate joints and keep your muscles loose and mobile for good workouts.
Personally, I eat Irish Gold butter which is an excellent fat, I eat cottage cheese not a lot but a little. I eat beef which has some good fat.
I stay away from bad fats – anything man-made is bad fat or anything else for that matter.
Natural fat is good fat, man-made and processed fat is bad.
Vitamins and minerals,
I make sure I also get enough vitamins and minerals. B-complex
Is very important. I drink Yerba mate tea-250 minerals from south
American. Because I drink some distilled water I take Dr. Marshall’s pink salt for another good dose of minerals.
Always, enough – not too much and not too little. I have 2 types
Filtered water at home-a PH alkaline water filter and a distilling machine for water and that is all the water I drink from those 2 sources.

This website, blogs, and podcast are all about SELFhood and
being self-aware and know:
What Does Life expect from YOU?
When you know SELF so well that YOUR Purpose in life will be
Automatically known and YOU will know
What Does Life expect from YOU in the Moment?
But, the stillness that YOU can have in your daily life.
Being still is very important to YOUR knowing SELF.
Put everything aside for 30 minutes a day for the stillness.
Stillness with the universe is very, very important to your growth
Eckhart Tolle’s book Stillness Speaks reminds each of us how
important stillness is for our spiritual walk in this life. The book is
a quiet book, small, empty spaces and words that point towards
stillness and silence.
YOU have to read books on a spiritual level today and then read
it in a couple months. Because in a couple of months YOU will
have developed more than where you are today.
Stillness Speaks is a gentle journey but one that can take you to
a spectacular and a very special place of new awareness and
a deeper understanding of your place in the universe at this time.
Make a commitment to YOUR own stillness to listen to what the
universe has planned for you. Make the time, do not rush this
because you have the rest of your life to keep moving upward to
all the knowledge and skills you need to KNOW.
We all learn on a daily basis what we learn today and we will
learn more tomorrow when added to today – but have stillness in
your life – be ok with the stillness and talking to the universe or
God or just being thankful for the stillness and quietness to have a
deeper understanding of SELF.
Tolle speaks about that in the nowhere there is everywhere
exists, that it is the nothing that everything is found. Read each
heading in the book and ponder on each heading and meditate
and pray about every heading in the book and let it go deep within
because you are building and growing and everything YOU read
should be about the growth within and give you tools.
YOU may experience:
Playing your role in the universe is what YOU want for SELF.
What Does Life expect from YOU?
The journey to that is what is bringing you fulfillment, purpose
And the ALL that SELF is needing, wanting, and being grateful for
his wonderful journey into YOU and
What Life does expect from YOU
This blog, this podcast, this newsletter is all about YOU – so that
YOU can have 1 place to know:
What Life Does expect from YOU and how to get there.

The whole universe
Consider some of the science on religion and spirituality:
People who meditate have increased activity in a “feel-good”
are of the brain.
People with strong religious beliefs recovered faster from heart
surgery than people with weaker faith
People who did not attend religious services died significantly
younger than those who attended more than once a week
There are different paths of spirituality that are listed:
they say people who attend a house of worship regularly are
happier and healthier, research shows. Likely because of the
Pray or focus on your notion of God.
Read religious texts
Talk with others
Research also shows that meditation offer not only calm but help
with anxiety and depression, cancer, chronic pain, asthma, heart
disease and high blood pressure.
Take up to an hour a day

Over the years I have done all of the above and each have
helped me over the years.
I am a work in progress still – almost 75 years old – I am still a
work in progress and will be until I pass over the bridge.
The #1 thing YOU need to take care of is stress
All of the above should help you do that but be:
If you cannot handle stress nothing is going to work well for long
Anger, stress, not forgiving, jealous. These are hurtful things
that can destroy your life. – your mind, body and spirit.
Stay above these things –get them out of your life.
If YOUR body is not in alignment, it can cause all sorts of
Chronic back, neck, and shoulder pain
Foot, knee, hip, and back injuries
Muscle atrophy and weakness
Impingement a nerve compression
Carpal tunnel syndrom
Just a note: my body got out of alignment when I did not go to
the Doctor when I sprained my ankle and eventually had to have
both hips replaced. So do take note that it does happen when
body is not in alignment
To solve the problem, you first need to pinpoint the cause. Most
Postural deviations occur because the muscles that work to hold
A joint in place are imbalanced. One muscle group will be too
Tight and the opposing muscle group will be too loose or weak.
Here are 5 things to helps keep body aligned
- Work on your posture
Pelvis, rib cage and skill are aligned on top of each other
- Do exercises that promotes stabilization
Strengthen core muscles of back and abdomen
- Practice yoga
Promotes healthy spine and efficient movement
- maintain a healthy weight
overweight puts stress on joints and muscles
- consider chiropractic care
working on spinal alignment
3 Exercises that will help alignment:
- Upper back and shoulders;
Standing arm circles
This exercise engages the shoulder muscles, which, in turn
Helps to stabilize and strengthen the muscles of the mid-
Spine, resulting in less low-back pain.
Stand straight, feet hip width apart. Raise your arms so they
Are extended out to your sides at shoulder level. Palms up
Place the fingers into the pad of each hand, thumbs pointed
Behind you. Squeeze the shoulder blades squeezed and
And your arms raised at your sides, rotate both of your arms
Backward in a circle of about six-inch circumference. One
Set of 40 circles. Then, palms down, thumbs pointed
Forward in a six-inch circle. One set of 40 circles
Statiic back knee pillow squeeze
This exercise promotes pelvic stability by supporting the
shoulders and spine as you engage the pelvic muscles and
extend the mid-spine.
Lie on your back with your legs up over the seat of a chair.
Place a pillow between your knees, and hold it with your inner
Thighs. Extend your arms out to sides at 45 degrees with
Palms up. Gently ssqueeze the pillow with knees aand hold 1
Second, kepping upper body and abdomen relaxed. 3 sets
Of 20 squeezes.
- For the pelvis airbench
Promotes proper function of hips and stabilizes the pelvis.
Stand with your back against a wall with your feet and knees
Hip-width apart. Walking your feet away from the wall about
1-1/2 feet while sliding body down to a seated position
pressing lower back against the wall. Allow arms to hand
down to side. Keep weight on heels. Hold the seated position
for 1-2 minutes
These are relatively simple and fast exercises to keep your body
In alignment. Keep doing these and set up to do these 3 -4 times
a week and your alignment will stay forever
Your spirit is from all YOUR years before and what you have
learned and the knowledge YOU gain in YOUR Life’s lessons.
Here are some of the
most influential spiritual books in the last 50 years and
some of them I have read over and over to gain insight and some
of them I will read in the future but I always want to go to the next
level –and I know that by learning and knowledge I can always

Journey o young Nepalese man during the time of
Buddha, and his quest to find spiritual enlightenment.
Found spiritual fulfillment in a much simpler way that
the way proposed by all of the world’s wise men.
I have read most of the above books since the 1980’s when
I also went through a devastating divorce. I was in my 40’s and
had no professional skills and was raised by controlling mother
and married a controlling man so I had no idea who I was as
a single parent, let alone who was I as a person.
There are many other books I have read that have added to my
Spirituality but all of them have been wonderful for ME in my Spiritual walk
The Mind is a terrible thing to waste as the commercial for the
United Negro College Fund used to say on the radio or TV. It
always struck me as being one of the infinite truths of the world
and I have always thought it true to see a mind wasted on being
controlled for one’s life, for being addicted for one’s life, for being
in a small box for one’s life. These are the things that make me
feel really sad for someone what “cannot see the forest for the
Like Dr. Frankl says in his wonderful book, “Man’s Search for
Meaning” it does not matter what we expected out of life but
what life expected out of us”. Each of us, who are reading this
has expectations from others, our job, our family, our partners or
spouse. But what does life expect out of YOU and myself?
I love questions to myself-they have made me think over these
many years what DOES life expect out of me?
Because I have always believed in the Power of Positive Thinking
I have opened myself up to things that my mind can create and
ways of thinking differently than how I was raised, or how family
friends thought but when something entered my mind it was me
Higher Power putting it there after prayer and meditation and I
needed to follow-through because that was what life expected
me to do. That is my mind-set, and that is my belief systems that
has grown over many decades of open-thought theory. Do YOU
have the “Open-Thought Theory”?
What do YOU want YOUR life to look like when you are 80?
Will it be meaningful to look back on YOUR life and say “I did do
what life expected me to do”. Or will you look back to say “I did
what was expected out of me”.
Tear down those walls Mr. Gorbachev– Ronald Reagan’s saying
To the head of Russia – what a wonderful saying. Tear down
those “old” walls that we have built up over the decades of our
lives. Whether they are physical or mental – it is clarification that
we all have lived within the walls that come with each of us.
Those walls come from family and friends – intentional or
Unintentional – they are there and it is up to YOU to expand those
walls or tear them down. Learning and listening are what is going
to open up those walls. Even the learning institutes YOU have
attended have put walls up for you. Listen to Professor
Darrell Hamamoto – Professor of Asian Studies at University
Of California-San Diego. He has studied and taught at these
learning institutes for decades.
Only by reading and listening to others can we expand those
Or tear them down.
The mind should be open to thoughts and free to beliefs. But
It has to be for the betterment of SELF and others not to bring
Anyone negative thoughts or bring anyone down. Always UP,
always positive and always open-thought theory.
YOUR mind has walls that have been built up since you were
In womb and the nutrients, thoughts from your parents and your
environment. Be open and mindful of what goes into YOUR
mind. Put the powerful, encouraging and empowering thoughts
and words into YOU. YOUR life will change for the better.
Thank the universe, God, the life you have been given, and
be thankful for the days you are here.
Think SELF first because the more you are mindful of SELF
the more you can do for family and friends.
Think big, think grand for SELF and be thankful and grateful.
Do not live with rose-colored glasses on so think for yourself
on subjects important to YOU. There are always a PRO and
CON thought on every subject – take the subject important to
you and do the research on that subject so you are clear in
When my sister had been given 2 weeks to live she and I were
talking and she said she wished she would have done more
with her life because she knew she could have. I told her “I
knew she could have also”. The reason she did not do more
with her life is because:
She would have had to ponder about SELF
She would have had to learn about SELF
She would want to expand SELF
She would have had to step out of SELF
She would have had to work on SELF
She would have had to encourage SELF
She would have to empower SELF
She would have to learn new things for SELF
She would have had to read non-fiction for SELF
Because I knew my sister well – those are the things I
observed from childhood.
For myself, I work on all those items all the time.
Life is difficult, Life is not easy, Life can be wonderful,
Life is not stressful when SELF is in control of SELF
The following are some recommendations that may help SELF
- Turn off the TV
- Join a new group for different thoughts
- Never complain or whine
- Smile going into the store
- Do not talk about others
- Listen to YOUR inner self
- Take a new class at Kahn Academy-FREE
- Do not be jealous, be thankful for other’s success
I do not even like to blog about negatives – it puts too much
negative energy into the universe when we want it all to
be positive energy
If you have had trauma or tragedies – which most of us have
had those in some part of our lifetime. The best way to help in
those times-those times may last years – but lithium orates will
help with that, good nutrition, and exercise also will help, along
with meditating and prayer. Work every day working out of
the mind set from traumas and tragedies. It is not easy and it
does not happen in 1 or 2 days. But there is light at the end of
the tunnel when YOU are consistent with working on SELF.
Forgiveness is one of the best tools in YOUR toolbox.
Forgiveness of SELF and then everyone else.
“The longest journey is the journey inward.”
